Greetings Families and School Partners,

Happy Black History Month!

Please see and distribute the attached flyer for this month's AAPAC General Assembly Meeting. Our February theme is "Reclaiming Black American Heritage: A Celebration of Literacy, History and Family. The AAPAC meeting will be held at Dr. Martin Luther King Middle School beginning at 5:30pm. Dinner and Childcare will be provided. If you would like printed color copies of the flyer, please let me know and I will interoffice them to your school sites.

Hopefully you all have received gathered resources from AAPAC SF on ways to share and celebrate Black History with your school communities. In case you have not, please see the Celebrating Black History google folder. To participate in the AAPAC sponsored Black Literacy Campaign click here.  Please also be sure to updateaapac@sfusd.edu on what activities or learning opportunities your site will host in celebration of Black History.

Thank you for all that you do to support African American family engagement in our District,
